A Postdoctoral Research Associate is required to work on an EPSRC funded project involving the design, preparation, characterisation, testing, modelling and optimisation of novel ion exchange materials for use in the nuclear industry. 
The post forms part of the DISTINCTIVE (Decommissioning, Immobilisation and Storage soluTIons for NuClear wasTe InVEntories) collaboration between 10 Universities, Sellafield Ltd, the National Nuclear Laboratory and the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.
The post holder will be required to undertake both atomistic modelling and experimental inorganic materials chemistry and must be experienced in at least one of those areas and capable of working in the other after sufficient training. The post-holder will report to Dr Joe Hriljac and Dr Mark Read.
