Post-Doc: New Heterogeneous Catalysts

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work under the supervision of Professor Peter Edwards, Dr Tiancun Xiao and Dr Vladimir Kuznetsov on a research project funded by King Abdulaziz City of Science and Technology (KACST), Saudi Arabia under the umbrella of KACST-Oxford Petrochemical Research Centre (KOPRC) for a period of 3 years in the first instance.
The main project involves the development of new heterogeneous catalysts for the conversion of heavy oil to valuable chemicals, especially nano-sized zeolites or supported metal catalysts.

You should already hold a PhD in Chemistry, especially in heterogeneous catalysis or a related subject area and have expertise in heterogeneous catalyst test and characterisation, or have submitted a PhD thesis in these areas prior to taking up the post.
The post will be based in the Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory, South Parks Road, OX1 3QR.
The post is available from January 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter.
