Job Description
Applications are invited for a Post Doctoral Research Associate to work with Dr. Richard Massey on a project entitled "Galaxy cluster mass assembly”. This post is for a fixed term of 18 months in the first instance.

Requirements
With a PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline, a sound analytic approach and the ability to solve problems is required. Excellent organisational and planning skills are required over a range of timescales. You will have the ability to think and work independently as well as the interpersonal and communication skills necessary to work as part of a team. The ability to write, present and discuss research findings will be expected. The successful candidate will communicate with scientists across broad disciplines, with funding bodies/time allocation committees, and be willing to be involved with public engagement events.

Responsibilities
• Plan and prioritise your own research activity within the agreed framework of the programme.
• Analyse models, develop techniques and produce research output such as academic papers in internationally refereed journals.
• Disseminate information on research progress and outcomes; prepare oral and/or poster presentations.
• Play a proactive role in the research team: attend and contribute to relevant meetings, help advise PhD students, and build contacts to facilitate future research collaboration.
• Collaborate with academic colleagues on areas of shared research interest and on interdisciplinary issues.
