An enthusiastic and committed postdoctoral research scientist is required for a research project aimed at ‘increasing our understanding of the abiotic-biotic interface’. The successful candidate will join the Biomolecular and Materials Interface Research team headed by Professor Carole C. Perry in the Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research Centre at Nottingham Trent University. The project which utilises both experimental and computational research approaches will explore interactions on the molecular, nanometre through to micron length scales between peptides and surfaces, including those of preformed particles in solution and surfaces prepared as thin films or macroscopic crystals. The project team comprises 2 PhD students in addition to the advertised post.
This project is the fourth such project funded by the American Airforce Office of Scientific Research in the Perry group, with previous holders of the position having gone on to take up academic positions in the UK and abroad. The position is advertised for an initial period of twenty four months.
