The Emerging Materials group of the Materials Science Division at Argonne National Laboratory has an immediate opening for an Assistant Physicist in the area of condensed matter materials science.
We seek outstanding candidates with experience in transport, magnetic, thermodynamic or high pressure science of single crystal or single crystal epitaxial films. The ideal candidate will have considerable experience in measurement science, including design and building of unique measurement capabilities. Experience in single crystal growth is highly desirable.  The successful candidate will be expected to carry out world-leading research with an ultimate objective of developing an independent program within the existing research group structure. Good skills in oral and written communication are required.
